Privacy
HYSEEDS is a free tool with no registration. We collect only a minimum of anonymous data to understand whether the site is used, and we do not share it with third parties.
What we count
- Anonymous events: page views, seeds entered, selected map mode and game version, enabled layers, opened object popups, shared links.
- Technical details: device type, browser, language, landing page, traffic source (referrer and
utm_*tags). - Country (only if the site sits behind a CDN that reports it; otherwise not determined).
- Session length and a "heartbeat" (a signal every 30 seconds while the tab is open) for the "Online now" counter.
What we do not do
- We do not use cookies and we do not build user profiles.
- We do not store your IP address: to tell visitors apart within one day we use an irreversible hash with a salt that changes daily, which cannot be used to recover an address or follow a person across days.
- We do not load third-party analytics, ads or external fonts: every file is served from our own domain.
- The web server does not keep an access log with IP addresses.
- We do not share data with third parties. A statistics summary may be sent to the site owner.
How to opt out
No statistics are sent if your browser has Do Not Track enabled or the address contains ?notrack.
What is stored in your browser
- "Found" marks for objects on the map, so you can see where you have already been.
- Your choice if you dismissed the suggestion to switch to the other site language.
- A copy of the site files (cache and service worker) so the site opens quickly and works offline.
All of this stays on your device only. You can clear it in your browser settings ("site data").
Retention
Statistics are kept for up to 180 days and then deleted automatically.
Questions and data removal
The data is anonymous, so it is technically impossible to find and delete "your" records, but if you have any privacy question, please write to us: the HYNEWS Telegram channel.
