Short answers to common questions about HYSEEDS and Hytale seeds.
Can I enter a seed when creating a world in Hytale?
In our checks on versions 0.6.8 and 0.7.0 the world creation screen has no seed field. The seed is changed by editing the world's config.json; see how to change the seed. If the developers add such a field, we will update the guide.

How accurate is the map?
The map is computed with Hytale's world generator rules ported from the game. We compared it with a real world: zones, biomes, terrain height, spawn, temple, a camp and city ruins matched the game (dungeon positions to within a few blocks). Not every detail is modelled: we do not simulate how structures overlap each other, so an occasional extra marker is possible, and lairs that need a "deep search" (such as a dragon lair) are not shown yet.
Why is a dungeon in the game but not on the map (or the other way round)?
Most often it is one of those unmodelled generation details: overlapping structures or special lair types. Send us the seed and coordinates via the contact below and we will look into it.
Which game versions are supported?
0.6.8 and 0.7.0. Pick the version in the "Game version and map" panel. We add new versions after verifying the generator.
Which worlds are not supported?
The map works for worlds with the standard generator ("Type": "Hytale", "Name": "Default"). Instance worlds, flat and void worlds, the alternative HytaleGenerator and world events (for example goblin raids) are not shown: they depend on the player, not the seed.
Why are seeds so long?
A Hytale seed is a large number. The game only uses its lower 32 bits, so two numbers that agree in that part produce the same world. The site handles this for you; enter the number in full, exactly as it appears in config.json.
Is it free? Do I need to register?
It is free and there is no registration.
What does the site store about me?
Only anonymous visit statistics (no cookies, no IP addresses). Details on the privacy page.
Does it work on a phone and offline?
Yes. The map is computed on your device. After your first visit the site is saved in your browser and opens even without a connection, and on a phone you can add it to your home screen as an app.
Is this the official Hytale site?
No. HYSEEDS is an unofficial community tool and is not affiliated with Hypixel Studios. Hytale is a trademark of its owners.
How do I report a bug or suggest an idea?
the HYNEWS Telegram channel. Please include the seed, game version and coordinates: it makes the investigation much faster.
